Following the fallout of AVX, Cyclops and his band of merry mutants are trotting the globe recruiting new mutants. And by new, I mean right at the onset of their newly found powers. It seems that Cyclops is building a team and while his intentions seem good, he’s not one to be trusted at this point in time.

Beast, who is suffering from a potentially terminal transgression of his mutation, decides to go back in time and bring the original X-Men to the present. Beast does his best to convince Beast (before the blue/hairy transformation), Cyclops, Jean Grey, Iceman and Angel to come back with in order to prevent post-Phoenix Cyclops from starting a Mutant Civil War.

The issue ends there, but it sets up some nice starting points. Cyclops is moving quick and recruiting new mutants faster than anyone can even discover them and he’s mixing it up with humans in the process. Who knows what will happen when young Cyclops and Jean bump into him.

From a visual perspective, this book is beautiful. Pair that with writing by Brian Michael Bendis and I think that All-New X-Men becomes a must read series.
