Google is Acquiring Motorola Mobility

In a move most likely motivated by patent rights, Google is acquiring Motorola Mobility, the phone division of Motorola. Google plans to keep Motorola separate and keep Android as an Open Source OS, but who knows what the future holds. I am pretty excited though, as Motorola likes to build superphones with locked bootloaders. Hopefully this means that future hardware will be easier to root and run custom roms on.

I found the logo below by doing a google image search and I’m diggin’ it. Reminds me of Owlman.
